based on today's events, i'm apparently at the best i've ever been. giolitti's. shopping. more shopping. i learned one of my new favorite italian words, "saldi," and put said sales to excellent use (yeshh amy i'm sharing). more on the amazing goodies i grabbed later. for now, the gelato...

giolitti's is purportedly the best gelato in rome. i've heard differing opinions, but i'm willing to do the research as long as it doesn't kill me. i'm such a horrible lactose intolerant... anyways i'm a fatty and was in too much of a rush to stuff my face that i didn't get to the picture taking until halfway through my little slice o' heaven. also i could use a decent manicure, but that's a different day i guess. for now i'm just working on planning my second visit. and praying that the sales are still happening when i need to invest in a new wardrobe about 4 sizes bigger.
