"get your facts first...

then distort them as you please."
mark twain

if i had it my way, studying abroad would consist of the occasional italian class, with the city of rome as my classroom for the remainder of my lessons in food, culture, and a world outside the one i know. to see, to experience, to run through images and interactions over and over in my mind- these are the only true ways for me to grasp anything fully.
but alas, the temple rome program doesn't seem to share my sentiments. they are kind enough, however, to provide us with an interesting little building to act as our school away from school: villa caproni

{hello there!}
right on the bank of the tiber, the villa is named for gianni caproni, an italian aircraft manufacturer. chances are, if you've ever seen old footage from world war I of the italian air force, you're looking at planes designed and built by the man of the hour himself
{fresco room}
i personally like to use the 40 minutes it takes to walk the 1.8 miles to and from school every day as an excuse for my excessive pasta intake. or something like that.
