maybe that's why i don't have a boyfriend."

i understand your thought process lucy, but i respectfully disagree. because, you see, what vintage lacks in aroma it more than makes up for in charm and originality!
on monday angela and i were lucky enough to add a third to our group- elyse, who is studying in montpellier with ang and just so happens to be a kappa at butler...so basically she's awesome. with elyse leading the way, we headed to st. -ouen and the marchés aux puces, or flea markets, to squeeze in a litttle more shopping before catching our trains and planes home.
old portraits, tool boxes, jars of buttons, and books overflowed from shelves and spilled out in every direction. the greatest thing about flea markets is that there is never a shortage of interesting things to look at. even the random goodies that seem mundane in real life become so much more intriguing when there's a story behind them, even if you don't know what that story is.
as much as i would have liked to add the louis vuitton train case to my wardrobe, i went with a few less practical but more budget-friendly things instead. vintage postcards of the roue de paris, a sea foam sequined top, and a special little something that's a gift and therefore top secret.
after banana and nutella crepes to recharge, we headed back to paris and in our separate directions. and of course, my trek to the airport included a little pit stop at ladurée for a rose religieuse, my birthday cake substitute.
it was the perfect end to the perfect weekend, and i couldn't have asked for anything more.
