as much as i hate to admit it, in a few months there are aspects of this semester that i won't remember anymore. that feeling you have when you see something breathtaking for the first time, the silly little things that made you laugh, the conversations you shared with friends- as much as they mean to me, i've already started to forget some things.
i can say with confidence, however, that this past weekend in paris will be something that stays with me much longer than the rest. granted some of the birthday details are fuzzy, i'd be disappointed in my 21-year-old self if they weren't. and there were a few cases of the wonderful phenomenon called the shopping blackout, where you find yourself hours later, penniless but surrounded by beautiful things. otherwise, it's all tucked away in my "save for a rainy day" file in my head with the rest of those memories that stick with you.
tomorrow: Don't Mind If I Do! Part I
