one of my favorite things about my close proximity to the city is that farmers markets are also just a train ride away.  almost every saturday afternoon, i pass through the union square green market and wander by the vendors selling farm-grown ramps and lettuce, homemade ginger jelly, and the most vibrant tulips, dogwood branches, roses, hyacinths, and other seasonal flowers.  i rarely buy anything, as i'm hardly home enough to enjoy the short life of a vase full of blooms, but each time i'm there i snap a few pictures on my phone.  they're the perfect slideshow to flip through on a rainy day or when i'm looking for a little inspiration...here are some of my favorites.
